RankTube is an Android application designed to help YouTube creators ("you," "your," "user") grow their channels by providing SEO, analysis, and content ideation tools. To provide and improve our Service, we collect the following types of information:

a) Information You Provide Through Google Sign-In

When you connect your Google Account to RankTube, we use Google's authentication service (OAuth 2.0) to access certain information. We only request the necessary permissions to operate the app's features. This includes:

  • Basic Profile Information: Your name, email address, and profile picture to display within the app.
  • YouTube Channel Data: With your explicit permission, we access data via the YouTube Data API v3 and YouTube Analytics API v2. This includes:
    • Your channel's public statistics (e.g., subscriber count, channel name).
    • Your channel's private performance data (e.g., views, watch time, top videos, daily performance).
    • Metadata for your uploaded videos (e.g., titles, descriptions, tags, thumbnail URLs, privacy status).

This data is used solely to power the dashboard, "My Videos" library, and video audit features within the app and is only visible to you.

b) Information You Generate Within the App

Certain data you create is stored locally on your device to ensure your work is saved between sessions. This includes:

  • Saved Projects (titles, descriptions, tags).
  • Topic Ideas in the Topic Planner.
  • Tracked Keywords in the Keyword Rank Tracker.
  • Your current credit balance.

This information is stored securely in the app's private storage on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

c) Information Collected Automatically (Usage & Advertising Data)

Our Service is supported by advertising provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device information to serve personalized ads, such as:

  • Device identifiers (e.g., Advertising ID).
  • IP address.
  • Device operating system and version.
  • General location information (e.g., country).

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To Provide and Maintain the Service: To operate core features like the analytics dashboard, keyword research tools, and AI generators.
  • To Personalize Your Experience: To display your channel name, icon, and statistics directly to you.
  • To Improve Our Service: To understand how features are being used and identify areas for improvement.
  • To Provide Advertising: To display ads via Google AdMob which supports the free use of the application.

4. YouTube API Services and Data Sharing

RankTube's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

  • By using features that connect to your YouTube account, you are also agreeing to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.
  • We do not share your API Data with any third parties except as necessary to comply with applicable law or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
  • We do not sell your personal information or API Data.

You can revoke RankTube's access to your YouTube data at any time via the Google security settings page.

5. Data Storage and Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information. User-generated content like projects and topic ideas are stored locally on your device. Data fetched from YouTube APIs is handled securely and cached temporarily on your device for performance reasons. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

6. Children's Privacy

Our Service is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.
