  • **Dynamic pricing rules** (e.g., price per character, fee for image upload, percentage markups).
  • An **extensive library** of Google Fonts.
  • Advanced display options and controls (details on premium page).
  • Access to **premium support** and regular updates with new features.

You can find a full comparison on our Premium Features Page.

Product Customizer Lite (Free Version)

How do I enable customization for products in the Lite version?

Go to the “Product Customizer” menu in your WordPress admin area. Under “General Settings”, use the radio buttons to select the **one** product category where you want the “Customize Product” button to appear. Save your settings.

Can I enable customization on more than one category with the Lite version?

No, the Lite version is limited to enabling customization on only **one** category selected in the settings.

Can I charge extra for customizations with the Lite version?

No, the Lite version does not include dynamic pricing features. The product will be added to the cart at its base price (or variation price). To add charges for customization, you need the Premium version.

What fonts are included in the Lite version?

The Lite version includes a basic set of standard web-safe fonts (like Arial, Times New Roman) and a couple of sample Google Fonts to get you started.

Is support included with the Lite version?

Basic support for the Lite version is provided through the WordPress.org support forums on a voluntary basis. Faster, dedicated support is included with the Premium version.

Product Customizer Premium

How does the licensing work for the Premium version?

Product Customizer Premium requires a purchased license key for activation. Licenses are typically valid for one year from the purchase date and entitle you to premium support and updates for the duration. You can choose plans for a single site or multiple sites. See our pricing page for details.

How do I activate my Premium license?

After installing and activating the Premium plugin, go to the “Product Customizer” admin menu. There will be a “License Activation” section where you can paste your license key (received via email after purchase) and click “Activate License”.

How do I set up dynamic pricing rules?

Once your Premium license is active, navigate to Product Customizer > Settings. You will find a “Pricing Settings” section where you can configure:

  • Price per character added.
  • Percentage markup for text.
  • Flat fee for image uploads.
  • Percentage markup for image uploads.

You can enable any combination of these rules. Set a rule to 0 to disable it.

Can I enable customization on specific products instead of categories?

Yes, the Premium version allows you to enable/disable customization on a per-product basis by editing the product in WooCommerce. This setting overrides the category-level settings.

What happens if my Premium license expires?

If your license expires, the plugin will likely continue to function on your site with the features you had at the time of expiry. However, you will **no longer receive plugin updates** (including new features, bug fixes, and security patches) and you will **lose access to premium support**.

What is the refund policy for the Premium version?

We offer a [e.g., 30]-day money-back guarantee if the Premium plugin does not work as expected and we are unable to resolve the issue through support. Please see our full Refund Policy for details.

Technical & Usage Questions

Does the customizer work with Variable Products?

Yes. For variable products, the customer must first select all required product variations (like size, color) before the “Customize Product” button becomes active.

How are the customizations saved and viewed?

When a customer adds a customized item to the cart, a preview image of their design is generated and saved. This preview image URL is stored with the cart item and subsequently with the order item meta data. You can see this preview image thumbnail in the cart, checkout, and order details pages (both customer and admin view).

Is the customizer interface mobile-friendly?

Yes, the interface is designed to be responsive and usable on desktops, tablets, and smartphones.

Is the plugin compatible with my theme or other plugins?

Product Customizer is built following WordPress and WooCommerce best practices and aims for broad compatibility. However, due to the vast number of themes and plugins available, conflicts can sometimes occur. We recommend testing on a staging site if you have concerns. The Lite version can be tested freely. For the Premium version, while we strive for compatibility, we cannot guarantee it with all third-party extensions. Conflicts arising from other plugins/themes are generally not covered by standard support unless it’s a bug within our plugin.

Where can I see a demo?

You can watch a demo video showing the plugin in action here: Watch Demo Video.

Where can I find the setup guide?

The setup guide for administrators is available here: Admin Setup Guide.
